At 7:00am there were 85 portal entries from today. Wow.
Not directly affecting BG, but David Klee from North Dakota is in there. Had 3-3-6 in 24 games this season as a freshman. He is Ken Klee's son. Not sure how much room Willy has, but that's one to pay attention to.

McMahon will be tracking the portal for his paid subscribers. 183 entries as of 8:45am.

As an aside, there are rumors for next year's schedule that Denver is paying a visit, there's a H&H with Michigan and a trip to Notre Dame. We'll see if all that is true.

Evan Murr from Mankato is officially in the portal and rumored to be heading to the Gophers.

Rorke Applebee from the Lakers is the other big CCHA name so far.

If Willy didn't already pick up a commit, he could do the funniest thing ever....

Also, on GPL, under notes, there is a "designated student athlete" tag. Those players will not count against the 26 player roster limit.

Not surprised. Steinman is probably your starter next year, Palmer and Michaluk 2A/2B.

Scott played in 4 games and registered no stats.

Simanovics appeared in 24 games, had 1 point.

Here's what I have so far. Looks like we'll need some portal help on defense. Even if you wanted to consider bringing Hankai in early that's still a lot of freshmen on the back end which still leaves you short at least one more. So you're realistically looking at 2 from the portal.

Pro Deal (Out)
Gustav Stjernberg

Portal (Out)
Rihards Simanovics
Brian Lonergan

Decommit
Carson Campbell

Returning
1. Breck McKinley (Sr)
2. Ivan Korodiuk (Jr)
3. Brayden Crampton (So)
4. Ty Higgins (So)
5. Cooper Wilson (Fr)
6. Peteris Bulans (Fr)
7. Mazden Leslie (Fr)

Early Arrival?
Cameron Hankai

Update: LSSU's Evan Bushy (D, 6'1" 194lb) from the portal to the Slater Family Ice Arena. Looks like he comes in as a senior. McMahon currently has him rated as the 4th highest d-man in the portal (that'll obviously change).

LSSU does not have a Masters program. Not sure if he actually graduated before he moved on or not, but a solid depth pickup where a lot needs replaced.

College Puck NXT agrees. Here's a list of their top portal additions so far:
