I dont know If I'd want a new ice arena, sure it would be for the better, adn I see that, but its got some sentimental attachemtns and I dont know if I'd like to see it go. Mayeb they could just tear the roof off and add capacity and polisher her up right nice. :)

This is almost the same as AA. I rather see them expand both buildings and clean them up with new lights and seating. With the traditions carried in both buildings, it'd be sad to see them go. With the ice arena, since it hardly gets filled up (so sad), it'd be great just to see fixed up. New lights and a paint job would change the entire look of the place!

That will change this year, attendance, that is. The coaching staff is actively working on ways to increase student attendance, as well as attendance from the community. Last night, I got a call from one of the players reminding me that I had not renewed my season tickets yet!! (I had planned on dropping the order off yesterday, but didn't have time, and planned to do so today!!) Having the team make those kind of personal calls to the local fans is a REALLY great thing to do!!!!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Thats awesome FF! Metz, I too think the attendance will be changing for the better in the next few years, by then maybe we will be able to renovate teh Ice arena, maybe when the SAC is done. AA I cant imagine ever changing other than spiffing it up a bit. yes its small, btu thats why MSU and UM wont come back, its too intimidating.

yeah, we're excited about the new rink. i know that bgsu ice arena isn't the prettiest of facilities, but it's very servicable, and hell, you won a national championship in that building! goggin on the other hand, has to go. only has seating on one side of the rink, the locker rooms are crap, and because the ceiling is slanted down and away from the stands, airborn pucks on the opposite side of the seats always hit the low hanging lights. i hope the new rink becomes a recruit-magnet!
