BG loses another close one to Miami...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Redhawks held off the Falcons in the last game at Goggin, 5-4. :x :x :x

BGSU finishes the regular season in last place, 1 point behind WMU.

Falcons fall to 13-21-2, 8-18-2...including 1-7-1 in the last 9. Ouch. Not what anyone expected I'm sure.

Frustrating, indeed. BG travels to Nebraska-Omaha for the opening round of the CCHA Tournament. How about we take out the frustration in the second season on da Mavs?

GO HOCKEY!!

Damn the CCHA is tough this year.
The last place team had eight wins. Eight!!

The comparison's probably not a fair one, but I'll do it anyway.
Eight wins would get you:
6-7 in the AH (of 8 teams)
4th in the CHA (out of 6)
6-10 in the ECAC, depending on how your ties/losses shake out (out of 12)
9th in Hockey East (of 10, but by a considerable margin over Northeastern's 3 and just below UML's 9 wins in 8th place *wave*)
8th in the WCHA (of 10).

Going by points instead of wins, 18 points gets you:
6th (Tied) in AH
4th in the CHA
9th in the ECAC
9th in Hockey East (again, by a considerable margin)
8th (tied) in the WCHA

I guess my point is that there truly is parity in the CCHA this year. Every other league has a whipping boy, but I don't feel that's the case in the CCHA (and I'm not just saying that because BGSU is in 12th).

Come on, Freak...get it right...it's DUH MAVS!! :-D

And you're right....frustrating end to an even more frustrating season. Sweeping DUH mavs would ease a LOT of that!!

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP DUH MAVS!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
