FWIW, if you don't think that these coaches have the kid's best interest at heart, take note the Alex wanted to stay at BG. The coaches had to convince him to take the offer because it was the best thing for him to do. More selfish coaches would have done otherwise.

Wow does that shed some light on Pooch's character! That is phenomenal for two reasons: (1) that Alex was so dedicated to the team and his coaches that he would have passed up that kind of money to stay, and (2) that Paluch is that caring and honest that he would encourage his players to do what is best for them even if it would be to his own detriment. We are so very, very luck to have him here, and there is (nor has there been) any doubt in my mind that he is quickly building a dynasty here at BGSU.

I am very happy for Alex, too. That kid was fun to watch while he was here, and I have no doubt that he will very quickly become the 33rd (is that where we're at now?) Falcon to play in the NHL! GO ALEX!

I have read this board at times throughout the year and I cannot believe the people that put this staff up on a pedestal. Is there a reason why three coaches have resigned in the past two years. There is a reason for this and unfortunately it starts at the top.

OK, who the hell are you and what exactly are the problems with Coach Paluch? It takes a lot of balls for someone to come on this board and defend a coach who just lead a team to a last place finish in the conference. On the other hand, it takes absolutely no balls to come on this board and make completely ambiguous, totally unsubstantiated claims about a coach and alleged problems within the program.

Grow a pair, tell us who you are and let us know - specifically - what the problems you claim to surround Paluch are. We all know who BGfan is. For now, you are just a knob who doesn't have the cajones to be honest with people. Take it or leave it.

BGFans knows what he's talking about. I doubt you would find a fan who is closer to the program.

There are a LOT of people close to the program, players, coaches, etc. People have their opinions and that is fine. No one is happy how the season turned out, but I do know that things will be better next year, even without Alex, though he will be missed in more ways than on the ice.

Back to the original post....Congrats Alex on your first goal as a pro!!!

There will always be those who disagree with something someone else says, or posts. That's their right, so be it.

Alex is a great kid and I wish him well in the NHL.

someone is confused somewhere. Foster had already accepted the offer before the coaches knew, so how they reacted afterwards has been spun. Coach Dumont is gone already and it wasn't happy trails to him. to be clear, Foster isn't in the NHL yet but of course he'll do fine in the AHL and hopefully get to the NHL some day. Someone else is jumping to the AHL (can you say cheese steak sandwich) from BGSU. I know of what I speak. go ahead and flame me
