Page commits to Bowling Green

Indiana defenseman Kyle Page, 19, has committed to Bowling Green State University for the fall of 2006.

"During the course of the season, Kyle quickly established himself as one of the top defenders in the USHL," said Ice coach-GM Jack Bowkus. "He leads by example and we believe he has the potential to be a future Falcon captain. Kyle is ready for college and our franchise wishes him nothing but success in the future."
The first-year blueliner appeared in 58 games for the Ice this season and notched eight points (three goals) along with 18 penalty minutes.

"I visited the Bowling Green campus earlier in the year and felt like it was a great fit for me both academically and athletically," said Page. "I was very impressed by the coaching staff, plus, I already knew some guys on the team this year and, as an added bonus, eventually fellow Ice teammates Todd McIlrath and Nick Bailen will join me."

Bowling Green, located in Ohio, competes in the CCHA.
Page is the 12th Ice player to commit to a Division I program this season, the USHL's 136th.
