Where should I buy my season tickets?

Post by transfer2BGSU »

Alright, I'm getting that hockey feeling back! I think it's time to purchase two season tickets.

QUESTION: What section should I be looking at buying them in?

I had some a few years ago that were 1st row right next to Section A. But nobody sat in Section A and I was discouraged. I think my boss and his son used them way more than I did.

I'm going to buy two season tickets! I want to be with other Falcon Fanatics! Where should I be looking?

Depends....

....on what view of the game you like. This Falcon Fanatic (and BGFan) sits in the middle of section B and really likes it there. We are up from the blue line, just a couple of rows up from the chair seats. View is good, get to see us score two out of three periods at this end of the rink, but the whole ice view is pretty good too. Students sit in B, E and H, possibly D, I think, along with the endzone being general admission. If you want to be near the students, sit near those sections. You also could just get two seats in an area you think would be good, then sit in other sections during the year to see how they are. I am sure after this year, you might not be able sit just anywhere (at least that is my hope!), then can pick exactly where you would like to be located for next year!!

This is just awesome news, Transfer!!!! :supz: :partyman:  Are you going to be there Saturday?

3 FREAKIN' DAYS!!!
GO HOCKEY!!!

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Try standing at the glass for one period - very interesting viewpoint.
Former BG goalie Paul Connel's dad, who was also a hockey coach, told us the best place to be was at the glass in one of the corners, because you could see the plays develop, and there were no blind spots.
Kind of fun to sit a couple rows behind the bench, too, and see what happens there.
When we bought our season tickets, there was no choice. What happens is you start to make friends with the other regulars, and don't want to move. Our seats on the blue line were better before the glass was heightened. When I have a choice at away games, I like to be just above the glass, anywhere from the blueline in and around the end.
I'm just about finished buying tickets for the away games - only ones I can't get are MSU's.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

I think we all sit in different areas of the ice arena, with different viewpoints. Other than Hockey John and myself who basically sit in the same area. I personally sit in section F, all the way at the top, against the press box. I love my seats, because I'm right on the Redline and actually have a backrest! It's rare that we miss any of the action, other than right in front of the benches. We've sat in these seats for going on 20 years, but I've sat just about everywhere in the arena. What Bill said about the glass area and behind the bench is true. It is an interesting vantige point. I know lots of people like the endzone seats, but personally I hate them. I feel like I'm too far away from the action at the other end.

I think BG Fan or FF is right (I can't remember who said it...sorry! 8) ) just come to the arena and sit in different areas until you find a spot that fits you. Hopefully, you will find seats to your liking and make life long friendships like most of us have found with our "neighbors!"

GO FALCONS!
See everyone Saturday!

I always sit with the posse of obnoxious band kids right on the glass in front of the band, in the NW corner of the stadium. I LOVE those seats. Jeff
