Awesome article on Iain Duncan
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

No regrets....as the article says.
Iain Duncan, who helped Bowling Green State University win a national championship in 1984 is obviously an outstanding guy, a lot can be learned from him.
If you're ridin' ahead of the herd, take a look back now and then to make sure it's still there.

Knowing virtually nothing about the game when I first got to BGSU in '86, I thought there was something about Duncan that set him apart. He's one of my fave players of all time. Duncan and Nelson Emerson.
I cannot believe the injuries this guy went thru....incredible.

If you ever get the chance, ask Scott Jess about Ian Duncan when he played for the Toledo Storm. Scott was working for the Raliegh Ice Caps at the time.FalconBlue wrote:Iain Duncan, who helped Bowling Green State University win a national championship in 1984 is obviously an outstanding guy, a lot can be learned from him.
P.S. Don't ask unless you have some time to kill.
