God I Miss Hockey: The Official Thread

God I miss hockey.
From the halls of ivy...

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

I miss hockey. I mostly miss sitting around the computers in the chat room.

Marta had the radio on which gave her a 10 second jump on everyone else. The board would look like this:

Rightupinthere: this game sponsored by steakandabj.com

TG1996: I hate work.

FalconFanatic: goal.

Rightupinthere: goal?

BleedingOrange: What? Goal?

TG1996: GOAL!

FalconFanatic: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

BleedingOrange: Woot!

BGFan: *hick*

Tech83: GOAL! Can one wear orange, red, brown and white simultaniously?

Rightupintere: who? when? Aw screw it. Pass the Pinot.

Aaahhhhhh. Good times, good times.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I miss hockey, football and basketball...the start of my fix will begin Sept.2. I can't wait for them all to start!! I miss wearing my game day gear. :( The crazy thing is, I never liked hockey until I came to BGSU. Hockey isn't big in Newark, Oh...I love it! I can smell the "pleasant" smell of hockey. I don't know what you call it...Hockey smell I suppose. Anyways 10-5-06....2 1/2 months until the exhibition game...

pleasant smell?????

You should have stopped by the arena last week during the First Contact Camp! 168 (minus a few that didn't show) teenage skaters, plus all of their gear sitting on the cement of the curling ice room.....the whole arena had a "pleasant" smell!!!! You could have gotten HIGH on the smell of hockey as soon as you walked in the building!! I think it STILL has the lingering "pleasant" smell!!!! :purplex:

BTW, if you want to see the guys skate, they play at 6:45 tonight. Some of the freshman are here skating with them. I am sure you can get a "pleasant" smell fix there!!! :-D

Actually, you'd probably be more likely to find something at YouTube... Google is damn quick on the trigger when it comes to uploading copyrighted material. YouTube doesn't seem to give a damn. Which is nice.
