People saying that they are not going to the game tonight because its an exhibition, are not real fans in my mind. You should go to the game to support the team! I will be there and im a real fan.

Go Falcons!!

I don't care if they are playing BGHS, I love hockey too much to not be there.

GO FALCONS!

and what a game it was. :D :D
FYI: That Windsor kid who skated off part-way through the game was pretty badly messed up. He had blood running out of his mouth and down his neck when he came back out to stand by the glass in the corner.
What exactly happened to him? My angle from behind the glass made it impossible to see.

And by the way:
Huge game by our freshmen tonight. I was happy to see the way they were battling it out on the ice. A few minor slip-ups every now and then, but I was really glad to see them get at it out there.

Todd McIlrath - 2 G 1 A (2nd Star)
Tomas Petruska - 1 G 1 A
Kai Kantola - 1 G
James Perkin - 1 A
Eddie Neville - 20min - 12 saves

I thought a puck got him in the face when the golie was whipping it around the boards. but from the way he was going on it looked like he was complaining about a high stick. he wouldn't stop till his team made him sit down.

I see. Yeah, I didn't see it, but I knew he was still talking until they send him off. I didn't know if it happened out in the middle of the ice or not until they were over by the bench. I guess at that moment I was pretty oblivious.

I think it's interesting to note that after he came back out, he had a nice long talk with the BG Police officer who was standing over outside the glass. Maybe he was still trying to plead his case?
He also kept looking over and showing us the blood on his teeth, sort of like the meeting scene from Fight Club.
I guess the moral of the story is: get a full-cage helmet and you won't end up bleeding from the mouth.

He can whine all he wants, but Windsor was playing pretty dirty by the end of the game!! Many, many cheap shots that should have been called on them. Not saying we didn't do something that should have been called, but THEY were doing plenty that ALSO should have/could have been called too!! Btw, I had the same thoughts about Windsor's helmets too.

The Windsor kid may have been caught by freshman goalie Neville's stick when they were both behind BG's goal, and Eddie was hustling to get back around where he belonged.
You'd think with two refs one of them would have seen it.

FAce Masks and helmets should be CHOICES not mandatory...this is hockey...what next pads and helmets for rugby?
NCAA fricking with the games to much.

great start to what will be a good season, leading to a great season.
