I didn't listen to the game but BG went down 5-1 against BC.

We split the weekend. Next week is going to be a real test for this team.

2-1-1 to start the year? Any thoughts on that? Miami seems pretty solid...caught some of their game with Michigoon on CSTV.

GO ICERS!!!

well we are right where we should be Id say. A couple of W's and an L against a totaly loaded BC team, if we can build from what we have and not be concerned with a loss against a team that has been a team longer this crew of ours we will grow and steadily improve.
Our team played well and just lost to what may be the best team in college hockey.
I am looking forward to some home play.

There is no doubt BC is a great team but they are not the best team in college hockey. They got smoked by Notre Dame 7-1 the night before. Right now I would say Maine is #1 followed by Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Boston College should be around # 10

I've heard grumblings that Minnesota isn't even as good as projected this year.

MacMan which planet were you on?

I listened to BC and according to their report, BC totally dominated the play and they are not the #1 team in the land. The previous night Notre Dame outplayed BC comprehensively and came away with a big win. Did we have anyone at that game?

BC held a 43-26 shot advantage with Jimmy Spratt recording a career-high 38 saves in the loss. BC's Schnieder stopped 25-of-26 BGSU shots to pick up the victory.

Read your comment again and see if you find any logic in what you say.

The commentry said our Defense were constantly beaten by a speedy BC lineup and our forwards were not executing well, given the pressure the were under.

Pretty good write-up on the game from USCHO:

I rest my case...What I heard "actually happened". Sometimes the radio man paints the picture from his team's perspective only.

I stand behind what I said. We are right where I anticipated us to be, and BC is a loaded team and top contender again this year. We got beat, I expected that, I also heard our team growing, our net minder gaining experiece and reguardless of the score the guys did not lay down like they did lastyear on so many occasions.
BC droped a game to ND...whew hoo good and bad for BC and ND i did not watch, nor did I listen, was BC perpaired for the game and mentally not looking past them....our crapy lot last year beat some strong teams and h¨ng in with others ...none of which make one bit of difference...BC is a top contender, Maine who I personally like more than most teams is a top contender but if either team takes for granite the¥ will drop more games.
what matters is our team, and our team in my assesment is on track in thier development for this season.

MacMan....stay among the Elk

Your understanding of the game of hockey is obviously limited. The BGSU hockey program has been in the "development" stage even prior to Scott Paluch. At some point you have to either be "successful" or the program has to change. Since the players frequently change one has to consider whether the "masterminds" behind the program are the right people.
I understand that we all would like a successful program and the coaches deserve an opportunity, but how long is enough?
The top pragrams, BC, NH,North Dakota, Denver, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan can turn it around in 2 years after a Championship run. BGSU has been "developing" since 1990.

Something has to change, in the Pro's this coaching crew would be long gone. Rember Steven Spurrier at the Washington Redskins (Jan 2002 - Dec 2003) he knew when to quit. It's the "Peter Principle" at work.

you are a smart man!! Love to hear remarks of what I have been saying all along. Its only a couple losses away from the rest of the people realizing what is really going on and the changes that are needed.
