This is pretty neat!! For those of you NOT at the games, you can follow the action on Gametracker as you listen to it! On the schedule, for the Windsor game, click on Gametracker, right under Archived Audio, under the score. It will open a window with a little ice rink that will show the play by play events (penalties, etc....). This will be available for all CCHA games, home and away. It will also be available for non-CCHA home games and a few non-CCHA away games, if the school has Gametracker (Dartmouth, does, for example). Right now, if you want to re-cap the Windsor game, go and click on Gametracker and see how it went! You can see the stats, face offs, shots, etc....and all the specifics for that game!! How cool is this?!?!!!
PS: This is not available for football or basketball....yet.
Hockey is the first to get it!!! GO HOCKEY!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp

I actually run Gametracker for a few sports I cover down here at Virginia. Gametracker essentially shadows the Automated Scorebook stats program for the sport you are covering and scoring. All you have to do is set up a link with your host website, in UVa and BG's case that is OCSN, and when you start up your game on the Automated Scorebook, Gametracker loads the information into its formatted screen to allow you to follow the game. It's a great feature.
What else that's nice about it is when it's up and running, you can also click on the scoreboard link which will take you to all the schools running Gametracker and you can see scores for those games, or click over to them to watch the game play-by-play as well.
Soon, just about all schools will be running this feature for their sports. It's catching on with more schools and more sports slowly but surely. The ACC actually makes all of its baseball teams (which I cover here at UVa) use it so we all can keep up to speed with each other on any given day. It's really nice to be able to use it like that.
