Union

Post by BGSUfanatUT »

Ok people there needs to be more chatter up is this hizzouse.

This weekend the team travels to one of the cooler named cities, that being Schenectady NY, to take on Union.

Union is projected as a bottom dweller in the NCAA as a whole, but I've hear that they are much improved from past seasons and may surprise some people.

I think that if our lines are worked out and are gelling quite well, that we should have little problem starting off this season with 2 wins.

This is the first of 3 OOC series this year, the others are a home and home with Wayne State. and then we travel to Dartmouth for a tourney, so we dont know who we will be facing yet there. WSU is rating even lower than Union and i dont think they are anythin that can suprise us, so we have a good chance to start out 4-0 in OOC play.

Does anyone know if this is slated to be on 88.1FM in BG this weekend? Ill be in town friday and wouldnt mind listening rather than watching gametracker, as it lets me play poker easier. :D

Thats all i got for now, just wanted to create sme ruckus in here so get some talk going again, there wasnt much happening in the hockey world this week.

GO FALCONS!!!!! BEAT UNION!!!!!

88.1 if the flagship station for Falcon Hockey. Both games are scheduled to be broadcast.

I fully expect to come out of this weekend 2-0 AND to be 4-0 to start the season since LSSU comes to BG next weekend. LSSU has been struggling even more than BG in the last several years and shouldn't pose much of a problem.

Dartmouth tournament - BG plays Dartmouth, then either Vermont or Providence.

I sure hope we can sweep Union. Last year, they came here and beat and tied us in the two games.

We'll be heading east after work today. Overnight in Erie, PA, then head for DutchLand. I was in western NY the last couple of days - leaves are still on the trees, and really looking good.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

O good, that will do good for our OOC SOS, which will need the kick if Union and WSU perform as projected.

I'm glad it's on the radio because I will not be making the trip to Schenectady NY! Being that I don't know much about to many other teams in college hockey, I have never really heard of Union so I am just going to assume they are no good, improved or not. Go Falcons...take them both!!!

It would be so nice to see this team start out at 4-0. I have become so use to them starting out 0-3-1, 0-4, 1-3. It seems like after that is a stuggle to end up with a good record. Starting the season 4-0 would give them a ton of confidence.

I fully expect a sweep this weekend, but Paluch said that the Union goalie is pretty good, plus being in their home rink, that it won't be automatic wins. I hope the Falcons do have to battle hard for two wins. Those kind of games will make them a stronger team in the longer run. I can't wait to hear who will be in the line ups!!!

I will be here listening Friday night and probably will be in the chat room during the game with Findlay Falcon (who is down in Florida). Please feel free to join us!! I also HOPE to be able to listen to the game Saturday night from Freak's house!! ....this is depending on the OU football game and how long it takes to get back to his house from Athens!!! Busy weekend for us Falcon fans!!!! That's the way...uh huh...I like it...uh huh!!! :partyman: :supz:

SWEEEEEEEEEEP THE DUTCHMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

The Union goalie is very good, but I have no idea about the rest of the team. Lake State almost beat Michigone tonight, had em down 3-1 and then lost it 4-3.

Metz, I know you are pretty new to the hockey side here, so I'll let that go. BUT if you ever utter those words on this board again, and you arent refering to the survival of a woodland species, extreme actions may be enforced. You just lost those crutches, it'd be a shame to have to get em back so soon... :P

I cheer for UM in football too(not as much as I did in my younger days) but I want them to win the big 11. That said, hockey is completely different. The non directional michigan teams are our biggest rivals man. You just said the equivelent of oh-io.

The weasels need to drop every game ever to satisfy my dislike. BOOOOO WASELS!

GO FALCONS! CRUSH THE DUTCHMENS SKULLS!

Prediction:

BG:3 Union:2
BG4: Union 1

Just because I'm knew to BG's hockey program doesn't mean I don't know anything about hockey. I know Michigan is one of the big rivals and that if we ever want to win a National Championship again, we are going to have to win some games against them! Notice the sarcastic wink behind the Go Wolves :D Like I've said in the other forums...I cheer for Michigan 2nd to BG. When it comes time to play them I will definitely be wearing my orange!!

If you feel like you can get me back on crutches, good deal. My temporary handicap pass is gone after October!
