Congrats to Kai Kantola

Post by Bleeding Orange »

I just thought someone should acknowledge Kai for breaking not only our lengthy scoreless streak, but also our lengthy PP scoreless streak. I missed the goal last night and just looked to see that it was Kai who did it. I have been impressed with what I have seen from this kid this year, and with as oppressive as both of those streaks have become lately, it is nice to see a freshman able to pull us out of them!

CONGRATS KAI!!!

The kid's a warrior, that's for sure. Tonight he blocked a shot, went down, tried to get up, went down again (where was the whistle, Hall? ), with no whistle, he stayed in the play, obviously hurting, then blocked ANOTHER shot before the play finally stopped after Schmidt's obvious frustration with Hall got the better of him. I, too, have been impressed with Kai.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Jesus Christ, Kantola is a damn warrior. Not only did he get hurt, not only did he drop to stop another shot, but he came back for another shift.

Kantola is a freaking stud. I'm proud to call him a Falcon. He's a hockey player, 'nuff said.
