Falcons practicing tomorrow at Dispatch Ice Haus

Post by cbjhack »

For those of you in the Columbus area, or those coming down for the CBJ-Red Wings game, the Falcon Icers will be practicing at the Dispatch Ice Haus from 12-1 on Thursday. The Dispatch Ice Haus is attached to Nationwide Arena and parking can be found at no charge by parking in the NWA Garage, which is on the North side of the Arena. Unfortunately, the Blue Jackets and Red Wings will be having their day of game skate at around the same time on the arena main ice. That is closed to the public. However, if you want autographs of Red Wings players, hang out in front of the Crown Plaza, which is where most visiting teams stay. It is two blocks from the arena and many of the players walk/run to and from the arena before or after their game day skate. I am not sure where the Falcons will be staying, but wouldn't be surprised to see them staying their as well.

If you need directions to NWA go to www.bluejackets.com or www.thechiller.com.

Go Falcons and Go Blue Jackets!

12 pm or am? It is my understanding that the team isn't leaving until 5 tomorrow afternoon with an evening skate planned....or maybe that was a LATE night skate they have planned! And yes, the Falcons are staying at the Crown Plaza.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

According to the Chiller website's Daily Rink Schedule, it shows the Falcons practicing at 12 Noon. www.thechiller.com It has been on the schedule for the last couple of weeks, so things could have changed and the rinks haven't been notified, but as of this morning it shows the Falcons. You can always call the DIH at 614-246-3380 to confirm.
