I went to the game and it was an utter embarrassing effort by the team tonight. They only had one shot after the first period and looked so disinterested in the game, it was sickening. They played with no heart, intensity or any sense of teamwork or good hockey sense. Spratt was awful and gave up three soft goals, and I don't think Sauer had to make one hard stop against us all game.

Even the Michigan fans were commenting about how we look like no better than a good high school team. Our team is too slow, gets outworked and has shotty goaltending to even compete with the good teams in the league.

After seeing tonight's game, things certainly don't look good for the future once Matsumoto is gone...he was the only player who did anything tonight.

We simply get out manned with our undersized team. One shot in the first period on a dump in that hit the net, that is embarrasing.

The interest in the community right now about this team is approaching an all time low. If we get swept again this weekend I would definetly not be suprised to see attendance drop below 1,000 people for some upcoming games. A few students, some local players parents, and some diehards are all that is left.

One other key stat us being 0 for 9 on the PP. Almost a full period on the powerplay and no goal.

I caught some of the third period of the game on Sports Time Ohio. I was stunned by the disparity between the two squads. Michigan had more size speed and talent...and they worked harder.

Ugh....

Flip,

I, too, saw much of the game on STO. I totally agree with your analysis. I thought UM was an NHL Minor League team compared to BG. The differences in the teams was frightening. We are lucky the Falcons didn't lose 12-0 last night. A change must be made. Coach Paluch simply isn't getting the job done.
