Brandon Svendsen injury 1/13

Post by bgbill »

Brandon was checked into the BG bench during the second period.
He was taken from the bench on a stretcher, after the EMS techs stabilized his back and neck.
He was taken to an Omaha hospital for observation.
That's all I know.

There are some other pictures from the game at omaha.com. You don't need to login for the pictures. If you want to read the article, you will have to login. The first choice on bugmenot.com worked for me.

Last I heard there were no head or neck injuries, that it was rib or rib-area related. Glad to see they were being extra cautious until they knew for sure. Get well soon, Brandon!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
