jersey question - customization

Post by bieksafan »

hey guys, I was referred to these boards as a place to ask my question:

I am from Vancouver, BC and really want to get a Kevin Bieksa customized Falcons jersey. I haven't found any site or any store that customizes these jerseys, so was wondering if I could get some help from these boards.

cheers.

I got a jersey from his senior year. It's a replica, Large, and has only been worn twice. (I work for the team now and can't exactly wear it to the games). It is blank however so I couldn't help you out as far as personalization. But, I'm willing to part with it for pretty cheap. Let me know if you're interested ([email protected]).

thanks for the fast replies, guys!

I actually found that site before, they are out of BG jerseys besides youth right now.

I would be a men's Large size, Replica is perfect. Are there places around BG that customize jerseys? I would pay extra if someone could get it done for me, because I have found nothing on the net.

definitely interested in that jersey, is it the home or away?

It's a home jersey (white). The problem you're going to have is that the store which used to sell all these things (The Falcon Store I think?) has went out of business. The Student Book Exchange (www.sbxgofalcons.com) used to sell the jerseys but now sell our new jerseys. Also, I don't think anyplace around here still has the typeset which they used then too.

BGDrew-

You could ask Scooter if he could send the jersey to the folks that did the numbers and name plates in 2004, and have them do it. Not sure how much that would cost, but it would be authentic.

thanks for all the help. I may have found a site that has the kit, I just need a picture to show it. Do any of you guys have pictures of the White jersey from the back, ie showing the nameplate and number (doesn't matter who).

thanks again!

It would probably be easier to just post the site. If I saw the kit, I'd probably be able to tell you if it's the right one or not.

the site is www.triplethreatsports.com

they only show NHL kits, but the guy said they may have it, he just needs to se e a picture of the name and number pattern.

I can't find a single pic of a Bowling Green white jersey from the back on google.

As far as I know, we're still using the same font style, it wouldn't look abnormally different even if it was a different font type from what I can remember from 03-04.

If you're truly serious and willing to pay for a picture, I would call the Sentinel Tribune in Bowling Green to see if they have a picture of Kevin that you might be able to buy. Or maybe they would just give you one, I don't know. Might be worth a shot.

the photo doesn't need to be of Kevin, the guy at the site just needs to see what the numbering and letters look like. So basically ANY photo of a jersey from the back (home color) would suffice.

It's from last season, but I thought it might help:

That's a great pic, but I don't think it's the font used when Bieksa was here, was it? That is the official University font in that pic. There was a different one when he was here, kind of a rounded, shorter, not slanted lettering, if I remember correctly.
