Another point of view on Threadjacking.

I started an email list many years ago, it still exists. The exact opposite of the "fire the coach" stuff happened there. We got over-run with Rah rah bs, that got to hostile towards anybody already on the list, that had an interest in balanced and yes, sometimes critical comments, the list died. We even had a pretty good mix of CCHA fans on the list to boot.
Frankly the reality is that things suck very hard, and online forums are not some kind of refuge from that. Personally, nobody has to like it, but it is the way it is. I hated the constant "don't be negative" "support the boys" crap that turned a decent forum into a glorified cheer leading exercise. It sucked. But so it goes.
On this forum, more than an email list, it might do well for both sides to stick to their own threads though. An email list is a single thread that generally morphs from day to day. But even if somebody does take a thread in a direction that is objectionable, it is as bad to react to it the way most people here are-on both sides.
