I was just wondering all you out there still thought last years seniors were the big problem and that once we were gone the program would turn around. Could it have been that we were the only class that would make some noise about what a horrible coach Paulch is????
I wonder if there is a shortage of eggs in the grocery stores becuase there are sure a lot of people that have egg on their face.
I wasn't so depressed about the hockey team before becuase there was light at the end of the tunnel, but that light is gone. BG is screwed for the next 3 years.
WORST YEAR EVER BY A BG HOCKEY TEAM!!! Congrats, it is the constant support of the coach that many of you have given and continue to give that has doomed the team for the next 3 YEARS!!

Knock it off both of you.

Bigdog, there is already a thread about this. It sucks, but until the money is ponied up we're stuck. At this point yelling at us about it doesn't help anything. I think many people agree with you at this point, not everything, but at least in the end result. The best course would to be to actually contact people with money that can put some pressure on the AD. It is just time to put aside the call for his head, and at least cheer for the guys playing and pull for their success.

Macman-Get over it. He played, I'm sure you cheered for him when he did. Quit being an ass to the former players that competed. Unless you played, they have acheived something you haven't. Second, seeing has you also had the balls to write that the team was "already on the ice, and practacing in Omaha" when they were in fact watching Tony the Nebraskan pull the bus out of the snow, I'm pretty sure any credibility you may have had is gone. I would refrain on saying this team will be top 5 next year, unless you're willing to call for a new coach if they end up anywhere below 6th.

I am sorry, Macman and his followers just really dumbfound me. Just a quick question before this goes any further. They did great when they weren't ill, wow they must have been ill all the games except 7 then. Great, wow, Great, are you serious? Macman did anyother teams in the league ever get sick, I am sure BG wasn't the only team in the nation to have people get ill. The difference is the other teams still won!
People like you bother me, you are so one sided it is ridiculous. You are the type of person who if you had kids would brag and brag about your kid and how good he is, even if he sucked. You are the type of person who only sees bad calls against BG, cause the other team never gets bad calls against them.
WAKE UP, THE SUN DOESN'T ONLY SHINE ON BG!!!!

I am with BIGDOG on this one. Scott Paluch does not deserve to be the coach of a DIV 1 program. Bowling Green has had top recruits come and go over the past five years and we have not had issues with talent. All of you people on here who have never played the game would not understand. Scott does a good job recruiting and can lie with the best of them, that is why guys like Matsy, Foster and Sigalet end up here. But has anyone noticed that all three of those guys could still be here. If they were playing for a guy like Red Baronson, they would never leave until they got their degree. A guy like TJ Hensick at Michigan could have done the same as the three mentioned earlier and left college after his sopmore or junior year, but respected his coaching staff and loves playing for his school. Scott Paluch has lost the respect of his players and is moched by everyone within the program. He should take his recruiting talent to another school as an assistant coach. He is just not smart enough to be a coach ansd takes the fun out of college sports.

Seems to me that Jonathan got into a fight with one of the seniors when he was here over the summer between his soph and jr years. He got so fed up with them that he left. From their perspective he was a primadonna and they couldn't take that. Since Jordan was no longer here they let Jonathon know how they really felt so he left. Nice way to help the team, wouldn't you say?

The problems on the team lie on both sides, as far as I'm concerned. I don't deny that there are probably coaching issues, but last year's senior class caused an incredible amount of discontent and is continuing to do so. Instead of biting their tongues and leading, they chose to complain and piss and moan which helps no one.

I also tend to believe that their continuance here is more of a vendetta against Paluch than it is a wish to improve things at BG.

I have mixed opinions on this topic, but MACMAAN isn't the only one-sided guy in this debate.

BGFan stop preaching about what you do not know. I mean how could you. Its not like you played on the team so don't pretend to know what you are talking about.

As far as I'm concerned it really doesn't matter who you blame. Maybe those seniors last year were the biggest collection of jerks, malcontents, troublemakers ever. I'm not absolving them, but it's still Paluch's job to control them.

I just wonder how bad we'll have to be next year to get someone new in here. Can it even get bad enough that the University would eat what's remaining on his contract? I'm hoping for better days, but I'm not sure they are going to come anytime soon.

Nah. Stuff like this is like crack for my soul. Sure, it's bad for me, but I just L-O-V-E the "high" which accompanies the morbid destruction if self.

I revisit the camp that it's a cultural issue with this program. The fault lies in ALL parties (even the supposed 'innocent' prior players). It's now up to the AD whether he wants to turn it around.

I have my doubts this will occur.

Wow, if you think Matsumoto left because of his teammates, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Hey Bigdog, did you know the player evaluations have been moved to after the banquet this year. Smart move, eh? ;-)
