Ok so the sixteen team are now set and the bracket fixed!
Who do you pick to go on to the next round
Games
1. #1 seed Minnesota (30-9-3) vs Air Force (19-15-5) @ Denver

2. North Dakota(22-13-5) vs Michigan (26-13-1) @ Denver

3. Boston College (26-11-1_ vs St. Lawrence (23-13-2) @ Manchester NH

4. Miami Ohio(23-13-4) vs #4 seed New Hampshire(26-10-2)@ Manchester NH

5. #3seed Clarkson(25-8-5) vs Mass(20-12-5)@ Rockchester NY

6. Maine(21-14-2) vs St. Cloud St (22-10-7) @ Rockechester NY

7. Boston U (20-9-9) vs Mich State(22-13-3) @ Grand Rapids MI

8. Alabama Huntsvill (13-19-3) Vs #2 seed, #1 Ranked Notre Dame (31-6-3) @ Grand Rapids MI

my picks are by game number
1. Much as I like a near home game Minnesota should take this one with ease.
2. I think Northdakota will travel well to this game, but MI will beat them in a real nail biter
3. Got to go with BC on this one even though St lawernce played a good season.
4.Close as this game will be and as much as I like to think Miami can win this game, UNH is at home basically and I give this one to UNh with reservation that it could go either way.
5. former BGSu 1984 championship team and Clarkson newish head coach G ROll are just hot and Clarkson will win and the next against Maine my next pick
6. Maine with out reservation..and yea Im biased I am a fan.
7. Boston will play a great game but fall short in the more homey environment of MI State, MI state in a close one in grand Rapids
8. Notre Dame wins big this year they are just this good and nothing will stop them from reaching the frozen final where they will play...Minnesota or UNH

5. Clarkson (for me this is the toughest game to call)
6. St. Cloud State (go Huskies!!!!!)

I just found out that I get to go to St. Louis :D
Even if only for Thursday.... still better than missing it totally.

Long enough to suck down some deep fried ravioli.
See you there!

Deep fried ravioli?
That sounds right up my alley! Where can I procure this delicacy?

St. Louis.

Seriously. It's usually listed as "toasted ravioli", but just about everywhere has it out there. I imagine you'll be staying in and around downtown, so I'm not too familiar with specifics there, but if you end up in U. City ("The Loop") or The Hill, I know that everywhere you go will have it for sure.

St. Louis is one of my favorite big cities. Other than the high crime rate, it's really a pretty cool city. I really want to catch a Cardinals game there sometime.

So I did a really bad job of calling Day 1. Only 1 of 4.
But c'mon... a 1-0 OT game for UMass/Clarkson? I said that one was hard for me to call!

2 out of 4. College hockey is entirely too hard to pick. Case and point? UAH taking Notre Dame to 2 OT.

Woo! 4-4 today.

I didn't call the next round, but my opinions are:
I'm glad that at least one CCHA team will be in St. Louis (Mich. St., but what can you do?) and I'm quite unhappy about having to see Maine. AGAIN. I friggin HATE the Black Bears.

As for the last two series, I'd much rather see Miami go than Boston College (for numerous reasons, not the least of which is that they're CCHA) and I will definitely be rooting for North Dakota over Minnesota.
