A brighter future than many of us think?

Post by Bleeding Orange »

First off, I do not want this to be another refernedum on the players who were suspended recently.

But, given the fact that we DO have seven juniors and seniors suspended right now, and given the fact that our freshmen and sophomores have played EXCELLENT hockey against quality opponents, am I wrong in believing that our hockey program has one of the best futures in the CCHA?

Sure, right now MSU, the Ba***ds in blue, OSU and Miami are at the top, but do they really have the potential and the young, quality coach that we have to remain there without being scared to death of our program?

I ask this because I love hockey, and most especially Falcon hockey, more than anything, but I would be the first to admit that I am not nearly the most knowledgable person on the sport. Any help that you could provide me with, and if necessary, save me from horrible disappointment, it would be greatly appreciated!
From the halls of ivy...

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

Well stated! I have been saying all along that our future looks very bright and these last two games are proving it beyond a shadow of a doubt! Hopefully we will go into ND tonight and continue the play we saw last night. I am not unrealistic in thinking we won't stumble along the way, it will happen, but the changes that Paluch have brought to this program will do nothing but propel us back to the national rankings! It's coming folks, it really is!!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
