I haven't really seen this discussed around here, but how good is Matsumoto?!? Three goals in his first three games? Are you kidding me?!?!
He hasn't been too hot on faceoffs so far, but I haven't seen a freshman handle the puck like him ever before. It almost seems a bit unreal sometimes.
What does everyone think our chances are of holding on to him for four years, and how long do you think it will be before we see him in a Bluejackets sweater?

Matsumoto has already proven he can score, and is off to a great start. We'll have to wait for the whole team to settle into their best lines and get used to each other's style before we see #11's total talent package.
Come on out to Omaha and watch the drama continue.

This team is still looking for chemistry. The lines they had for the ND game Thursday had great chemistry. For the most part, the passes were crisp and the players were backing each other up. However, with the re-instatement of the suspended players, I'm afraid the chemistry is going to go to hell.

At the Union games, there was decent coordination between the freshmen and the veterans. I don't think it'll be too difficult for the lines to regroup. The new guys should take their cues from the upperclassmen they've been with the last couple of weeks, as far as welcoming back The Silly Seven.

The chemistry will not go to hell. The guys WANT the seven back and hated having them out. The team chemistry will be stronger. Don't think for a minute that at all of those guys haven't spent SOME time together. It's not like they were banned from any contact with the team. Many of them do live together.
I do belive that the hardest job on that team is going to be Coach Paluch's when he has to decide who gets to play and who doesn't. Since the team has done so well without the 7 veterans, I imagine they will have to earn their way back into the lineup, through very hard work in practices this week. We shall see how much adjustment by the players will happen. I do think their will be some of it, though I don't expect it be substantial. In the long, however, I do believe this will make the team MUCH CLOSER and TIGHTER. The team chemistry was there before the incident happened, it will only get better now that they can put this behind them!!!
GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEP DUH MAVS!!!

Yeah, where the notion of the team LOSING chemsitry with the return of some of our most talented players would come from I'm not sure.
No matter what you guys want to say about the seven that were suspended they are respected on this team and have proved their talents on the ice throughout their careers.
I would be willing to bet that they will teach the freshman a thing or two about chemistry.
