Miami-BG this year

Post by redhawkfan18 »

I noticed we only have two games against eachother this year, with both being in BG. Isnt that weird? in the past i remember one game being in oxford, then a day, or sometimes two days later in BG.

It's weird that two of the closer schools are playing like that, but not weird considering we've gotten similar treatment REPEATEDLY with 2-for-none trips to UNO.

I actually llike the old sch. where you would play two home games against a team every other year, and some times 2 home and 2 away. It was much better. but its all good

right, i understand that, but for some reason i always thought we played OSU and BG two series a year no matter what. But i guess that is just for OSU for us.

Each team has one "partner" school they play 4 games with every year. The league then rolls another school in to the schedule that they play 4 games with which changes every year. All other league members are played twice. BG's constant partner is Notre Dame, your's is OSU.

since i live in columbus, i like that i have two games here, but i have to be honest, playing them 5 times a year (assuming we meet in the ohio hockey classic) is a bit much. that said, i guess if i had it my way, we'd always play 4 against bg and osu each year just to keep the ohio schools playing more regularly.

plus, it makes for easier ohio cup math! :)
