My prediction:
4-2 L
5-3 W

I think we get a spark from Kantola coming back in the 2nd game.

if I am not mistaken isnt he out for 4 games, meaning that he will not play in either of the Ferris games? or am i missing something?

He was suspended 3 games by the CCHA.

The 3-game suspension was supplemental to the game disqualification Kai received when he was penalized during the ND game. He's out through the Ferris series.

Oct. 27, 2007

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association today announced that sophomore forward Kai Kantola of Bowling Green State University has been suspended for three games as the result of a checking-from-behind incident that occurred in a game at BGSU Ice Arena on October 23 against Notre Dame.

The supplemental disciplinary action was taken by the CCHA after a review of the incident that occurred at 16:13 of the first period and resulted in the player receiving a major penalty for Hitting From Behind and a disqualification penalty.

Kantola will be required to serve this suspension during Bowling Green's next two regularly scheduled series on Nov. 2-3 against Western Michigan and on Nov. 9-10 against Ferris State. He is eligible to return to the lineup on Nov. 16.
(Northern MI series)

That said
In Game 1 VsOSU Ferris had 36 shots on goal and scored 4 times or one out every 9 shots on goal
In game 2 Ferris had 24 shots on goal and 4 goals or one out of every 6 for an average of about 7.5
Ferris seems to averaging about 6 penalties a game

BG is scoring about one goal every 8 shots this season and allowing one goal every 6.8 shots

To win we will have to clearly out shoot Ferris and or have some gains in defense (not that its bad right now cause its not our d is playing great just get some more out of them) and some clear gains in goal tending, which these two guys are clearly capable of.
I think we can and will out skate Ferris I have not a BG team that can skate like this a whole a game in a long time, and while I will not make a score prediction I can very easily see splitting the weekend with them, however; if we can keep the intensity up and manage to reduce taking a penalty or two each game, get the netminders to make one or two more saves. I think we could take the series, and the way this team is being coached and growing right now its clearly possible.

What i hope for is a lead...a lead from which the coaches dont ask the guys to slow the pace down...eff that...if the pedal down is working, then drive it like you stole it.

We need to beat this team this year. No easy way around it. I'm sick and tired of losing to these guys. What has Ferris ever done? And yet I don't we've ever beaten them since I've been at BGSU. It's time to end that this weekend! GO FALCONS@!
