The Series
The Falcons and Wildcats have played 64 times with Bowling Green owning a 31-27-6 lead in the series. However, NMU has had the Falcons number in their last 10 meetings going 7-2-1 against BG. Bowling Green has been excellent at home against the Wildcats posting a 18-9-2 record. Under Coach Paluch the Falcons are 4-1-1 against the Wildcats when in the friendly confines of the BGSU Ice Arena.

Last Week
The Wildcats earned a split last week against in-state Western Michigan in both of their games in Marquette, MI.
11/9: 2-4 L
11/10: 4-3 OT W

The Falcons extended their winning streak to 4 games with their Sweep of Ferris State at the Ewigleben Ice Arena. This is the longest streak since the 2005-2006 season. If the Falcons can somehow sweep the Wildcats this weekend, it will be the first time the Falcons have swept three CCHA teams in a row since the 1987-1988 season.
11/9: 6-3 W
11/10: 3-1 W

I'm sorry, but I cannot vote. I want a sweep, but don't want to jinx the team by saying we will get it!! I know we CAN sweep them, but I also know that NMU is a desparate team needing points badly. They aren't as bad as their record shows, as I've said before. Those kinds of teams worry me greatly....

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEP THE WILDKITTIES!!!

with my always glass half empty feelings (hey I'm from Winnipeg) I have to go with a split. I usually say we will get swept.

I hate to say this, but I like seeing three CCHA teams 1, 2,3 that is sweet. We have a very tough conference.
I like saying I will enjoy it when our guys kick the living crap out of them all.
But first Northern sits squarely in our sights...in our house...get out there and get some noise makers folks...drink plenty of tea with honey...keep those voice loud and get in thier goalies head...lets make them feel very uncomfortable in our house...and keep our guys pumped.

I went with split. I just think getting a 3rd sweep in a row is highly unlikely , but hey I've got no qualms with being wrong here again. :)

according to an unknown sourch (cough Mick McCrimmon cough) NMU is specifically scheming to stop the Falcons power play saying. "You guys have a great power play."..........Who would have thought BG's power play and the word great were used in the same sentence not followed by "great at helping our PK stats.

I say we split. I have feeling this team is gonna come out Friday night and think by being at home and winning 4 in a row that all we have to do is show up. They will learn there lesson and come back strong Saturday Night with a victory.
Friday: NMU 4 BG 1
Saturday: BG 5 NMU 2

That is absolutely the biggest difference about this team...they actually get things done on the power play! It was so frustrating the last couple seasons watching power play after power play result in absolutely nothing.

I've yet to see any attitude coming from any of the members of the team that comes close to resembling that. Too many losses in the last few years should quell any thoughts of "just showing up".

They seem to me to be excited, riding high, but humble in knowing that there is no such thing as a sure win in this league.
