Thinking of taking my boys 5 - 7 years to the BG v Michigan game, I'm a BG (BS) and Toledo (MS) grad but never been to a Falcon hockey game before.

Any suggestions?

Yes. Go back in time to your freshman year at BG and go to as many hockey games as you can. Then, when you graduate, make right on that other hideous wrong in your life. :-D

As for the hockey game, if you know you're going for sure, it probably wouldn't hurt to pick up tickets now. Some others around here can probably be more familiar with section numbers and such for family-friendly viewing, although I think anywhere they sell a ticket for is probably okay anymore.

You may be fine buying tickets at the door, but if the past two weekends have been for real, a game against UM could pack 'em in. I believe UM is one that brings in traditionally larger crowds even when the Falcons are down. If they've put some wins together by then, who knows what numbers we'll see.

Hey good news is your getting out to the GAME!!!! Now here is the deal. i have found that sitting on the West side of the arena with the family is easiest. going from the Zamboni room to the enclosed end the sections start at A and i think end with d but it could be D
any way i feel if you want to the most action ie our guys putting the puck in the net, get down near c-d, you'll still have a good view of the whole place but will be in our offensive zone for 2 periods.
More good news, reserved bench is 11 bucks, but youll need two tickets as 5 and under are free...so ask to be seated on an end or support the team a bit more and get three tickets.
As far as elevation...my feeling is if your down near the glass you get a real sense for the speed of the game, but you sight lines suffer...so with the kids I would say rows 8 and above. I'm pretty sure row 8 is the first row down when you reach the top of the stairs and 9 and up head to the roof..i think row 14 is the middle of it all...the ticket folks are great at getting you where you need.
Have at the game!

Just remember that in the middle rows, pucks often end up there and hit people!!! May want to sit up higher in section A or D. Stay away from the student section E, if you don't want them to hear certain words. :? Glad to see a new fan coming to a game!!! \:D/

GO ICERS!!!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEP THE WILDKITTIES!!!!
