+1. That looked like a 2005 or 2006 crowd tonight. We need more fan support!

I wonder if the city/alumni base realizes the team is good this year. I bet most haven't noticed yet.

Either that or it could be just that is playoff football time for local area HS's. Give em time, once HS football for local residents is over and the team continues to win they'll come eventually I would assume.

12 HS playoff games involving 4 relatively local schools in Southview, Clyde, Patrick Henry and Liberty Benton. Tonight Eastwood which represents a very engaged portion of the local market plays. We also started HS girls basketball as well. These excuses are not justified.

I think it comes down to increased marketing so the people will notice. With a couple thousand extra seats available I would think some ticket deals would be available through interested sponsors. Winning will bring the fans but not as quickly as combining agressive marketing with winning. If the program is to thrive again the winning needs to continue and marketing needs to step up and do its part. They shouldn't wait on the big schools to bring in the crowds its time to market these games against the lesser recognized programs. If our fan base isn't established during these weekends then when the big programs come in it will almost be a home game for the big boys because they will buy up the tickets.

Well your right. That fact that it was N.Michigan and not Michigan , MSU or ND plays some part in why there were only 2k there. The casual fan who doesn't really know if we're gonna be any good or not is not gonna be pysched to go see us play N.Michigan. Unfortunately for us at the moment, name recognition and prestige of our opponents plays into our crowds. Don't like it either but thats the way it is right now.
