Originally we had planned to go on this road trip, but our son has a JV tourney at the BGSU Ice Arena ON those same days, so we will be staying here and listening to the Falcon games.

GO FALCONS!!!
BEAT NORTHEASTERN!!

I'm bummed we are missing this one; was really looking forward to seeing KP again!! And despite that KP is on their coaching staff...I hate the Badgers too!!

This may be one of the most competitive tournaments this Christmas, with 3 teams currently in the top twenty. Not to mention Dekanich (Colgate) is probably one of the top ten goalies in the country.

Its always a crapshoot though with all the teams being off for three weeks. Hopefully the boys are staying in shape and will be ready to go.

We'll be at the games.
We're staying at the Doubletree, about a block away from Kohl Center.
Flying from CMH to MKE on Skybus for a ridiculously low fare.

"A continued revitilization of this once proud program is a wish many in the college hockey community share. The schedule certainly favors the Falcons, whose toughest post-holiday tests are a series vs. Miami and home-and-home sets with Notre Dame and Michigan State." -inch power rankings this week
we are still sitting at #19
WI #15, northeastern #11 "The Huskies hope for a little margin of error, and continued success in the close games. Northeastern is 5-2 in games decided by one goal (with another win with an empty-net goal) including two overtime victories."

AS for Dekanich he is a solid goal tender, however; this season he is about 7th or 8th overall in ecac, which keeps him well out of the top 10, or 20 for that matter in NCAA goalies, and his win % is a 571...given this likely do to they guys in front of him just plain old sucking on the PK and for them the 1st peridod is hell..which is not good for them at all since WI should just man handle them.

We're going...no we're not.
Yes we are...no we just can't.
We WANT to go...we NEED to stay home.
This has been going on for weeks.

Today we are committed...our tix are paid for, and our hotel revervations are non-cancelable. We'll be at the downtown Sheraton.

I'll be there as well. As a matter of fact, I'm in the Doubletree in Madison right now. We're about 2 blocks from the Kohl Center.

I think that's where we stayed for the football game up there a few years ago. Pretty nice place, we did some damage in the sports bar in the lobby (and then around the rest of Madison) that Friday night.

yeah, I just had dessert down there. I had a really good piece of apple pie with caramel toffee and a shortbread crust. A la mode.
