I like that we're getting a bit more size in this class as we lose alot of it from graduating seniors. Sounds like we're getting some more fast players as well. Looks pretty good to me , anyone else?

I wonder why they don't list Vargas' team. He is playing in the BCHL for Burnaby. He is currently on their third line. A source tells me that Vargas just doesn't seem to be all there every game. I'll chalk it up to the B.C. air.

i don't like that they are all american. Canadians are just better hockey players. Look at the world juniors as a prime example. The top teams can find recruits from BCHL and the OPJHL. The only team that I can see that does well with all americans is Minnesota, but they can't get over the hump and Kyle Okposo is leaving to go pro.

Look for team Canada to completely dominate the IIHF with Tavares Stamkos and Turris no one has a shot at beating us. Yes, I am that confident.

didn't the U.S. just win the world championships for juniors just last year or the year before?

yes, sort of, in 2004 USA made a thrilling come back to win over Canada with a final of 4-3.
USA finished fouth in 2005
USA finished 4th in 2006
USA finished 3rd in 2007

The truth is that the best Players in the world are European, even the Canadians admit that player for player the Europeans out skill them. The difference come several things. look at USA practices and Canadian, most end with shoot outs of some sort.
In europe, the end a smear the queer kind of keep away game seeing who can hold the puck for the longest, thus developing some very creative puck handleing where as we have some very creative shots.
USA hockey has been making for about 20 years big steps forward and in the most recent 7 years those strides are getting longer...in the next few years, will equal in more levels our northern neighbors. The kids coming out of USA hockey programs around the country are eons better than ever before, USA Jrs are producing more and more ggreat players, and more and more former not so good JR programs are now good becuase of the numbers of good players have increased so much as of late.
