Since it looks like I will only be able to get to one home hockey game this year (3/1 v MSU), I am thinking of taking the Freaklings on our first every hockey road trip to Cbus. Looks like both games are 7:05 starts...it would probably be easier to go Sat, Feb 2nd.

Anyone going...do you buy tix there or get them thru the BG office? This isn't set in stone but I think it would be a blast.

I don't think that you can buy tickets for away hockey games at our ticket office, but I could very well be wrong about that.

I think tickets run around $10 for adults and $5 for children. Seating is all reserved, but the only time they ever come close to filling the Funeral Home is when Big Blue comes to town. The last time we went down we were able to sit on the blue line about 20 rows up despite our tickets being in the top bowl.

In terms of parking, it's free anywhere around the stadium. I think we parked near the baseball field last time.

I went to the Notre Dame game in South Bend in November and I got the tickets at the BGSU ticket office. They were $10 and we sat behind one of the goals. At the game, I noticed a large group of BGSU fans sitting right behind the BG bench. Not sure how/where they got their tickets.

In Hockey East they do consignment tickets... each home school sends the road school a block of tickets which the road school sells to its fans. What's left over is sent back a week before the game so the home school can sell those (important at places like Maine, UNH, and to a lesser extent BU. Not so much for Merrimack or Providence). The ticket office handled the consignment tickets at UMass Lowell.
(The consignment tickets at Maine always sucked hard, for whatever that is worth. You wouldn't have those same issues at the Schott though).

I don't know about the CCHA, but I would imagine there is something similar in place. Then again, if you're going to Ohio State, it's not like you're going to have trouble finding a ticket or a good place to sit. Hope you have fun!

The seats behind the bench are player and coach tickets.

Id suggest hitting up the Varsity Club or Wendells before the game, both are decent places to eat and drink.

Those are the players/coaches COMP tickets. Each player gets two per game, usually for their family. The good news about these seats is they're free, the bad news is the seats usually suck. The first couple of rows behind the bench means obstructed view and the pungent aroma of sweaty pads that gets stronger as the games goes along.

Don't worry about tix at tOSU. VCA holds 17,500, their biggest crowd this season has been 4097.

This might be one of the better attended games for OSU. A guy I work with is a township trustee and said something about having tickets for the game due to their convention in Columbus that weekend. I don't know if just his township bought them, or if the convention made them available.

FWIW, my dad and I went to the game a year or two ago. We bought tickets from someone on our way in for less than face value. We sat 4 rows from the glass. Anybody going might want to take a set of headphones and some music or that...only way it's gonna be loud enough to seem like you're actually at a game.

I'll be there one night in a suite via my uncle...hopefully I'll get to see some familiar faces.

I think I may be attending both games due to home being 30 minutes away which ='s free housing and food. Last time I went there I bought tickets there and they were less than 10$ I think I even got a discount for being a AAA member so maybe they were 7$ or something. I am not 100% sure about the price though.
