This is random, Senior League, anyone playing?

This is my first post and I admit that I have no clue as to what the demo of this board actually is. Obviously, it could be made up of students or alumni from the class of 1902.
Point being, I was just curious. Is anyone going to be playing in the Spring Slo-puck Spring League?
I understand that most of the people that play already have teams formed. This would be my first "season" and I really don't want to be the random guy that gets stuck on a team.
A buddy of mine is a goalie and is also willing to play but he'll only play if he actually gets to start(no bench warming).
I can play D or center and I consider myself an average player.
If you know of any openings or if you're looking for another player or two, please let me know.
Thanks

Welcome to the board. 1902 would be a trick knowing the uni was founded in 1910. We do have some folks from that year, but I'll let our resident douchebags* tell you their names.
It's a good mix, really. Quite a few current students. I'm back from the late 80' early 90's era.
Finally, I would love to join some league, but I'm on the East side of Cleveland. I also can't really skate. I can only go forward and stopping includes either the boards or my ass.
*Sounds mean, but they are goodly gents with personalities only a drunken saint could tolerate.

Welcome to the board!
Regarding Slo-Puck, my son and his high school buddies usually play too. They have never gotten a team together until after their season ends, which is at the end of February. They usually play in the summer league (is that the same as the spring league? I don't really pay that much attention to what it's called) and there is only one goalie per team, so riding the pines for goalies doesn't happen too much! There is an A League and a B league, which depends on experience and age, I think. Most teams have short benches, so finding a place on a team isn't usually too hard! Talk with Buddy Powers if you want to know more. He can give you any info you need and he's at the rink most of the time.
The hockey board posters are made up of Falcon hockey fans (both students and community members), BGSU alums, former players, and other random people (some more random than others....

). If you understand and appreciate the game, you'd fit right in, so don't be a stranger!!

Many of the spring teams in BG are olsteady rosters, but you should be able to find a spot. that said if you can not Findlay has a summer league, real nice they have been running their summer program at Clause Arena, 3 20 min stop time periods 2 refs quality no check league. Adrian just had thier 30 and over evaluation skate for a newly forming adult no check league on sunday...my understanding is that they had 60 players to fill 28 spots (two teams) they will grow. Monroe has a sr league, Tamo has a few on various nights, there are some Adult elite teams around. so what Im saying is if your open to driving 30 min you still have loads of choices if BG gets full.

I played senior league once. Came in cold like it sounds you are and got put on a team with a lot of other random guys. We were brutal (myself definitely included). We got our butts kicked every game.
I do remember the massive celebration that ensued after we scored our first goal of the year. I fell down in front of the goalie and must of screened him on a shot from the point. Got my head out of the way at the last second.

Don't know what the atmosphere is like there, but I have basically randomly worked my way on to three different teams here in Kansas. Each time it is a little strange for two games or so, then you realize that everyone else is just doing the same thing as you!
Jump in its fun!!
I have played every position except goalie this year, and have decent stats, especially since I never played organized hockey until last Jan. As a side not I lead the team in penalty minutes...something about no checking hasn't sunk in yet!

I don't know, I don't think they released a schedule yet. This is my first go around, so I have no clue how they schedule games.
