National Anthem Saturday

Tyler Sworden, known best for putting the career-ending chest bump on Germain Fitch, will be attempting the National Anthem on guitar for the 2nd time this Saturday night. If anyone remembers his performance last time around, he messed up the beginning, started over, and confused everyone in the building!

Soooo...just for fun, I wanted to see how many of you thought he'd do it again?!

I thought it's one strike and you're out for the Anthem.

With Notre Dame in town, I expect a pretty full house. We should have the Men's Chorus do it.

Seriously? I hope they have a lot better equipment for him this time. Last time I think I heard something about trying it earlier in the day and it didn't work right. I still think it needs to be sang or played by the band.

i think you all agree, but the BGSu Music Dept can put forth better effort, in various rendition of the Anthem.

On a semi-related note, the A band will be practicing 'certain songs' prior to the doors opening.

Does that mean I get to here my anthem this Saturday? Last time Sworden played, we got hear the beauty that is O Canada. Although they always sing it in English only not Bilingual (They play bilingual in Manitoba) It always puts a tear to a Canucks eye hearing the beauty of the True North's anthem.

That's only when we play a Canadian team or the last home game of the regular season.

Seconded!

FF, we're trying in the top row up there. We keep yelling come instead of go in the 1st and third periods though :-D

I'm gonna give Swordo the benefit of the doubt this time around...I think he'll get it right and he'll rock it the way Hendrix did.

That being said, as for all this Canada talk, you do know that Canada is just a loft apartment above a really great party, right?
:)

haha quite the opposite. In Canada we drink until the snow melts in America they "party" until......well about 2:30

The SSB wasn't too bad. A couple of times the crowd had to drop out to find out where they were in the song.

I thought he did well.
