Our power play still sucks!

Just had to throw this one out there. 4 flipping chances on the PP when we desperately needed a goal in the 3rd period, and we couldn't do it. Now we did have lots of chances and lots of shots came close to going in (including one that was waived off

) but our inability to score on the PP killed our chances of winning on Saturday.
Why the hell is there nobody in front of the net to pick up the freakin rebound?!!! We could have had like 4 goals last night if we did! There were rebound oppurtunities aplenty and yet there's never anybody there to clean it up!

I agree there should be a player in front of the net for rebounds.
Sounds like coaching to me. Same old power play year after year.

Some of the people who could hold their own in front of the net are in suits
in the stands watching. I haven't been to practice like I did some time ago to see if they do in games what they practice. I'd like to see some big guys up front on PP no matter their position C, F or D Just try something different
same **it different day gets old. Stretch said on the post game Friday that all the PP that converted from earlier in the season were put on DVD for players to watch worked Friday not Sat.
They have improved mightly over what I've watched in the past.

Alaska changed their penalty kill completely on Saturday night. Friday night, they just kinda collapsed in front of the net and gave us all kinds of room and time. Saturday they actually pressured us and moved around to try blocking passes.

There seems to be an echo on this hockey forum for the past two years...

That would seem to reflect on the coaching staff. I've said for years that our PP scheme sucks. As long as the scheme stays the way it is, there are going to be games like 2 weeks ago vs Alaska and last night vs Ferris.

0-6 again last night and gave up a shorthanded goal. It's really frustrating to watch.
