Just curious, where everybody's tickets are for Miami. My wife and I are planning on going down Saturday. Wanted to try to sit with BG people.

I've never been to Miami...is it like they give you a ticket but you can just go sit in a section with BG people or do you literally have to sit in that particular seat? Just wondering

There is no open "General Admission" seating. You might be sitting in the belly of the beast. There is a "visitors' section - Section 4.... I think.

The Miami student sections are 6-12. The typically open Sections 6, 7, maybe 8 and 9 when students are off campus. This year students have been lining up about 2:30 to get into the games. Miami has also instituted a wrist band for students to reduce some of that line.

I will be sitting with my Miami friends - I don't know where our tickets are located - should be good seats - my friends have an in with the AD.

For those who haven't been to Oxford - you will be required to park in the parking garage behind Goggin. On the street parking is limited.

I recommend Bruno's Pizza. There are lots of other places in town - all on High Street. I know PGy really likes the Smokin Ox. Mac and Joes (in the alley) has good burgers. Skippers for subs.

45 East and Brick Street are across from each other. I have eaten at Brick Street -standard food - lousy service. I haven't eaten at 45 East since I was in grad school 25 years ago and it was called Attractions. - It was good food back then and is always crowded now.

There is a BW3 on the first floor of the Holiday Inn on South Main

When I called this morning and got 4 tickets, the lady at the MU ticket office said she was putting the BGSU folks in the same section. I just asked her to sit with the BGSU fans. She seemed to know what she was doing. Unfortunately I cannot find an open hotel in Oxford.

Seating chart indicates sections 4-16 are non-student sections.
We're in 9 on Friday, 11 Saturday, and 6 Sunday.
We usually stay 30 or so miles away somewhere on the way to Oxford, but I found that Rushville, IN has a Holiday Inn Express that only charges 5,000 frequent sleeper points per night, so we're staying there - about 40 miles away, which is like driving from home for us.

Don't Eat At Bruno's I've never had a meal there that my stomach has held down, and thats 4+ years of time in Oxford.

Don't worry about the students, there will be some Friday I bet, but most will be gone for Spring Break.

Have you checked on the Miami Inn for accomendations or in Hamilton?

Sounds like you have your version of BG Fricker's down there.

Ok I switched my tickets to be in the BG section along with my friends and I talked to some people that are going as well. We're going to try and find a hotel tonight. Hopefully we can get all of this done!

Try the Elms in downtown Oxford.

Marcum and Miami Inn on Campus There are rooms in Marcum Conference Center. Single King Still available at Marcum.

There is a Best Western in Oxford also.... then you have Hueston Woods - Lodge and Cabins. You have to call the Lodge for availability. The Cabins are very cool and have been renovated in recent years.

Trenton is about 20 minutes outside of Oxford. Then you have to start looking at Hamilton.

I went to BG but live not far from Oxford. If you get desperate for a room, maybe try something off the exit from I 75. I'm not sure which way you'd go, if you'd take the Middletown exit. I'm from Butler Co. but coming home from BG I used to take the Rt. 63 exit.

I've gone to Miami's games over the years, often to see the visiting team, and used to sit near the BG fans. Since Miami's new arena opened I got season tickets. I belong to the art center on campus, etc. So it's going to be an interesting series!

Bruno's is an icon! if your stomach can handle it. Actually if you want quick carryout Bagel and Deli is good. And a new place, La Bodega, is owned by the same family that ran the Italian place DiPaolo's - good food, pasta etc. but not much eat-in space, if you go try the Pecan Praline cheesecake if they have it. Also if you're a coffee lover, Kofenya has good coffee, soups, etc. and a place to hangout if you're killing time. I'm not sure what will be open though w/the students on break.

Skippers... Good

Bagel and Deli - Good for breakfast or Drunk late at night

Mac N Joes - Best Bar food in the town

There are some other places but you'd be wasting your time.

If your not afraid of calories and a sugar coma..... A toasted roll is a Miami Tradition.
