Anybody know how I can get text updates of the games on my cell phone? I'd prefer a service, but will take a volunteer as well!?

I am assuming the question is where do we end up after this weekends contests, not for the whole season.
I dont see us even with a strong win over BC breaking the top 10, let alone a one goal win. They are polls and BG is not anyones favorite team carrying any favoritism at all, where as if BG where #1 and we lost to a BC...you could count on BC flying up the polls, and based on our last near 20 years of play, I expect that.
my prediction is we will have a serious battle. The Atkins boys are tough, Cam is already a better player than Gerbe was, and BC is just a STRONG in every area of the game.
I think we take them. Im thinking 6-5, it starts ugly again and we steam roll our way back in and get the game winner in last min of 3rd period play. We need to beat BC at BC, its time, it makes a statement about who this team has become, and what they are going to do, and where we are headed.

I think we out play providence but that games final score is closer than it looks after the emotional high of beating BC and that make me at BG4 -2 Providence.

I have to think he has a high ankle sprain and that will likely mean 6-8 weeks, how did he sprain it?

I agree that Cam Atkinson is an outstanding player, but he still has a way to go to where Gerbe was last year. This may be one of BC's deepest teams. 5 on 5 I think we will be fine. It is whether or not we can win the special teams, that will decide the game, in my opinion.

Hey, Notre Dame went in there early last season or the season before and beat #1 BC 7-1. We can win this game. We need Jimmy to be on top of his game and we need to stay out of the box. BG 5 BC 3.

I don't see us coming away with a victory vs BC , but we should get one vs Providence. I'd be ecstatic to tie with BC , they just appear to have too many horses for us to handle. I think we're still probably another year or two away from being able to compete with a team like BC. I'm certainly willing to be wrong and surprised though.

A win vs BC? Really? Gerbe was the type of player I don't like i.e. Cepis, but better. Jimmy Hayes is a beast in the middle big big kid. The only way I see us staying close is if BC overlooks us because they have Northeastern on Saturday.

They could overlook us. It's early.

I find it interesting we got some votes. It's early I know, but the voters must see something they like. Hopefully we can come away with a couple wins this weekend.

Last I remember, there are 64 D1 hockey teams. 34 teams got votes in the USCHO poll. Trying to fill a 20 team ballot, I'm not surprised. Make that a 10 team ballot, I bet we don't get any.

Dunno if they still do it or not, but you could sign up for text alerts at hockeyeastonline.com. Not sure if you can do it just for the weekend or if you'll end up getting alerts all season. Might be worth a shot if you're desperate for scores.

And to whoever said 64, there's actually 58 teams in D-I hockey.

Nope. I don't live in New England anymore.
If I did I would, coincidentally enough, be in Michigan this weekend.
