When was the last time we scored a shorthanded goal????

Dee probably has a concussion from his headfirst trip into the boards. Glad it's nothing worse, sounded really scary for a few minutes!

Also neat to hear Whitmore on the radio doing some of the color in the third!

did sound like a bad showing from the icers. we didnt give up 2 goals on 2 shots early on, but hey, we hung in there and had a chance to win. thats all you can ask for against a team like BC

I have to say, I wish I could watched this game. We lost, infact to go a step further, it seems we beat ourselves. It would be easy to be fixated on that, heck it was easy to be fixated on those two stupid goals.
But now, with some pause. ITs just as easy to focus on the positives, like shooting, doing well on the pk and working on our PP, Sprat holding us in the game and keeping his head on right. yes its a loss..and its hard to have a good loss...but we played a hell of game against the team the pollsters say is one, which should avg out to a realistic top 5 team.
This BG squad is going places this year, you can feel it.

I watched BC's webcast. My Internet connection is only 1.5Mbps, and I assume that's the reason for the imperfect picture. The play-by-play man was good, but the color guy was wretched. There are worse ways to spend $7.95.

Our Falcons played pretty well. I'm thinking they should be whipping the Friars, now, instead of being down by 2.

I just saw that Northeastern knocked off Boston College last night in front of a packed house at Northeastern's rink, http://www.uscho.com/box/?date=20081018 ... u&gender=m . BC outshot them by almost a 2/1 margin but still couldn't pull off the win.

and thats the difference between good goaltending and great. I think Sprat can step up his game and cross that line from good to great, hes right there on the edge. We are so close to having the complete package right now, so close, these guys are so good, I would love to see them be great.

Northeastern's goalie is a junior who has put up great numbers throughout his career. How much longer do we have to wait for Spratt to cross that line from good to great? I'm not sure which side of the line between good and mediocre he's on.
