Is this just a coincidence, or is there some sort of untold tension between college football and hockey players? Maybe the Michigan schools need to subscribe to BG's "18 Sports, One Team" idea...

I can't say i know exactly what happened in these incidents, but i'm more then willing to bet that Kampher (Michigan) was talking s**t about the team. I'm sure there's some rivalry there between the programs.

I've seen people on other message boards saying that Kampher is a trash talker but that is still no excuse for what was done to him.

Doesn't matter who said what. These are adults and they should be expected to behave like civilized people. I never had sympathy for fighters when I was in school, sure don't now.

If they were truely civilized adults they wouldn't have gone to Michigan.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
