I was so pulling for Sigalet to improve on his consistency this year, 4 goals in the 1st period alone?

However, the season isn't over. This should humble BG and remind them that they can't take OOC games lightly. You gotta play hard every night. Let's get some respect back after tonight.

Yeah, we got our asses handed to us on a platter tonight. I couldn't help but make that Ball Statian joke beforehand, though. Just too funny and ironic.

I think we'll bounce back from this. Wayne State got two lucky bounces in the first period and that just set the tone for the rest of the night. Our guys got bitter and started playing extremely sloppy hockey. You can't pass through the center of the ice in the offensive zone and hope to have success. That is where the three shorthanded goals came from and where all of the fastbreaks W.S. had came from.

I honestly think that we came out with a poor attitude tonight, let the opposition pounce on us early and let it get out of hand from there with an even poorer attitude. And believe you me, Pooch was pretty pissed by the end of the game. When he was walking off I yelled to him "It's alright, coach, you'll get Miami next week," and he just made a sinister grin as he continued to look straight down at the ice while walking off. He WON'T let our team come out on their heels again, and we WILL rebound big-time! We have far too much talent on the ice for that to happen. And do you really think that Siggy isn't pissed as hell? Do you realize what this has done for his numbers?

Look for us to come out with a major chip on our shoulder next weekend and get a sweep of Miami. You heard it here first!

Time to move on

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Yup, that was one ugly game to watch....didn't even want to get on the boards afterward...

But, it's over, it's done with, it's history and it's time tomove on. The good news is that it was a non-league game, so we didn't lose ground in the standings. We have Miami, Michigan State and the Weasels coming up, in that order. Three weekends that will be HUGE in our overall standings. If we were going to have bad game, I would much rather have it against Wayne State and get it over with, learn the lessons (frustrations building=fighting=penalties!! Gotta keep the emotions in check, even when we are losing.) and MOVE ON!!! Miami is up next and I know we will be prepared for them!! I can't imagine what the practices are going to be like this week! I am sure they won't be much fun!!!

GO ICERS!!
SWEEP THE REDHAWKS!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

wow....9-3 on the home ice. Let it go and forget about it. One bad game doesn't ruin the season.

Time to get up for the Redhawks...with Michigan State and Michigan to follow, this will be a very important stretch for the Falcons. 4 of the next 6 are home games.

GO HOCKEY!!!

I didn't think they were Warriors, either.

For eons, they were the "Tartars." Apparently, they switched to "Warriors" in 2001.

I think "Tartars" was better. So was "Hurons."

Oh, well.
