something like this would, I'm sure, help sell out the Ice Arena:

haha I've seen a few other NHL teams with teams of girls like that too. I know Carolina, Tampa Bay and Dallas have them as well and probably a few more. Who's to say the idea wouldn't work? Then again I don't see it happening any time soon in college.

if there were 14 girls on campus looked like that, we wouldn't need scholarships to attract top players.

thanks for the new screen saver, bill

Girls like that aren't born, they're made.

The Gophers have Sluts On Skates--I mean cheerleaders.

Personally, I don't subscribe to doing anything that the Gophers do. But that might just be my hatred of the Gophs coming through.

Let's see...since 1969-70 (roughly the same period our program has been in existance) the Gophers have made the NCAA tourny 29 times, made the frozen four 16 times and won 5 national championships...I'd subscribe to that.

We had one game back in the 1970's, I think it was 77 Bleacher Babes, they were however removed from the rink, for the creative display....
we have had the Bleacher Creatures...lol more fitting for our swamp.

"BGSU has had some nationally renowned spirit organizations. One such group dressed up in Halloween-type costumes for every hockey game to cheer on the team in the late 70's. They also appeared in Sports Illustrated. Who were these masked men? The Bleacher Creatures."

Freddie and I can recruit and judge the Bleecher Babes.
MacMan can recruit the Bleacher Creatures.

Hey we haven't died quite yet. There are still 2 of us who show up on sidelines at women's basketball games. Yeah, it is a shame most of these groups have nearly died off.

BG hockey had cheerleaders for a time in the late 60's or early 70's! They were placed in the portals to the arena and if I remember, might have even gone on ice between periods.
