Yes, Stevie Y and Jiri were both at the game tonight. Both were extremely gracious, signed autographs all night long and took pictures with everyone who wanted them. Stevie was the star of the show so to speak, but I think that's because many people don't know who Jiri is. I'd post pictures, but I am not sure how. Falcon Fanatic has some pics too...maybe she can post them.

I have a picture with him! And...I took a puck for him!! I was sitting 2 rows down from him. A puck comes flying up to our section. My son was sitting in front of me, just to my right. He moved quickly and it hit ME in the leg!! (Not sure that kid's getting anything for x-mas! 8-)) Afterwards, I asked Stevie Y if he saw that puck hit me, and he said he thought it was going to hit him!! :-D That's the 2nd time I've been hit! Last time the glass was lower. I was in section A and Jamie Wansbrough shot the puck around the boards when we were playing Ohio State. My nephew was sitting in front of me, just to my right and DUCKED when he saw it coming!! It hit me in the arm! I feeling a sense of deja vu.....

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Wow. That may be more interesting than Yzerman. Does he still have the mustache?

I thought I saw Kevin Dineen at the Minnesota State game, but then I wondered why Kevin Dineen would be at a BG game...

Yes, he still has his mustache. I wanted to get his picture and autograph too, but he wasn't there when I went over.

I'm never shocked to see various players that are now scouts in the building, but Stevie Y is another story entirely. They were watching some Clarkson players, so to bring out the big guns like that, the Wings must be really interested...Jiri was taking a ton of notes it looked like. I thought it would be rude to stare at the paper!

And not to leave him out, Gino Cavalini was there tonight too!

Too bad there was only about 500 people that saw it.

GO Falcons!

Channel 13 (ABC Toledo) just ran a story about Stevie Y's visit on the 11pm sports news. Showed him signing one of the large BGSU Hockey schedule posters. They said he was in town to watch a couple of Red Wings draft picks who play for Clarkson. Maybe he left with some good impressions of some of our players.....and our awesome and loyal fans!!!

Wow. How mad am I at myself for heading back home today and not sticking around. I've always heard that Stevie Z is a nice guy, it would've pretty awesome to meet him. It's cool to hear that Fischer is still working for the team even though he can't play anymore.

Steve Yzerman, Jiri Fischer and Jim Nill were all there. As mentioned, two of the Clarkson players are Red Wings draft picks. Pretty cool

My guess is that people are confusing Jim with Lanny MacDonald.
