I went nuts when I saw the small (VERY!) student section doing a GOAL COUNT!!! :supz: \:D/
WE WANT MORE!!! WE WANT MORE!!! WE WANT MORE!!! :smt041 =D>
How long have they been doing that??? I noticed it when we got the 2nd goal. I was over in Section E getting a pic & autograph from Stevie Y.

Also, the small band that played...WELL DONE!! Who was that group? Only complaint was that they should have played MORE!! They sounded great!!

Congrats on the sweep guys!!
Enjoy your time off at home with your families!!!

I believe they announced the band as the North Baltimore High School Pep Band. I thought they did a pretty good job.

Yeah, that was the North Baltimore pep band. I sat in with them to play, and by the end of the game they were actually doing the cheers and following the game! They really liked the "That's debatable!" cheer...

The goal chant has been making appearances all season. It was pretty strong for the Notre Dame games. My only complaint: The azz-hole in the Winnipeg jersey who was bitching at us because he "doesn't like that cheer. It's stupid"... We reamed him for that one.

Wow, can't believe you've been doing it all season! Let's get it going LOUD enough for the rest of us on the other side to hear! We'll join in, in fact EVERYONE would join in!!! I'm counting on you students to get it going through the full arena when we host the Schmuckeyes Jan 9-10!!!

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEP THE SCMUCKEYES!!!

Yeah, we've been doing it all season. There are a couple people really leading it. It's a good time, and we'd love to get everyone to join in...especially those of us who are at every single game even when the student section is one row of people, haha.

And that Winnipeg guy... I don't want to talk about him. Eugh.

While you and the other person may have issues with him, I have an issue with another fellow student of ours. This happened at the ND game on the 12th, but I didn't mention it on here because I didn't see a good place to put it, but now I would like to bring it up.

After ND scored their second goal to go up 2-0 in that game I got yelled at by the kid standing in front of me (some tall kid with a football jersey that says Big Herm on it) because I was being "negative" and having "bad sportsmenship" This really made me laugh, I mean I would say I was being critical, not negative, I mean if we had ND's record the kid would have a point, but at 5-8-3, having not beaten ND in like 13 or some straight games, having not won in a month, and having a PP that hadn't had a goal in what seemed like forever, and everyone hating the head coach, I think I'm allowed to be a tad critical of our team. I didn't say any of our players sucked, I didn't say anything bad about them, all I was being critical of the fact that the PP hadn't scored in what seemed like forever and the fact that we seemed to only be able to score one goal against ND whenever we played them (two trends that both ended the following night.) Again I said nothing bad about our players or even ND's players, but that was somehow bad sportsmenship, even though everyone around us were screaming ND SUCKS, F ND, and different things at their players. So I guess to him you can say whatever you want to the other team and their players and thats fine, but one critical thing said about our players makes you negative and have bad sportsmenship. Man that kid must have never been to a football game

*End Rant*

Yeah, I know that guy. He's a jack***. Don't worry too much, though, he's essentially harmless.

Yeah don't worry I wasn't worrying at all, I felt like either laughing at him or asking who the hell he was to tell me these things, but I just stated my case and let it be, he needs to realize the team is far from perfect

Yeah, the high school pep band did a pretty good job. Less bass drum though!

yeah, the goal count has been getting better and better all season.
For the record, so anyone who reads this knows the "procedure" for goal count, here it is:
After the goal, hold up how ever many goals we have and then wait until the goal announcement is over and count however many there are.
Scream "WE WANT MORE!" four times, then "GO!" five times.
Then here's the part that has yet to catch on: sing "Aye-Ziggy Zoomba" one time for each goal. It was fun on Friday when we had four goals... Get's a little tiring on the voice haha! :D

I'm just glad I could attend some games and stand in the student section instead of in the band. Love playing in band, but I feel removed from the game in some aspects.
And.... just to be perfectly honest, heckling is too much fun and I can't do that in my band uniform!

And about "Big Herm," I know him too... He gets really touchy when someone insults our team or school... Always has been. He's harmless though.

Damn straight! Let's sweep the Buckeyes! You can bet I'll be in that crowd screaming my head off again!

Dear Band,
Play Forward Falcons only once.

A. You're playing into the face off.
B. The goal count should finish BEFORE the face off.

Signed,
A student from way back when we knew how it should be done....

Oh yeah, I heard the A.Z.Z. after the goal chant and got really excited. I sit on the other side of section E toward where the players enter and we all joined in! I'm sure that will catch on when more people attend.

Also, my arms hurt so I'm glad you mentioned that! :) Did anyone else notice how loooooong the clarkson players took to get to the bench both nights? haha, I thought my arm would fall off by the end of the night

Well all else fails, there remains venerable Section E.
