I know this is a BG forum, but I saw

Wow. That video is sickening. Hopefully Tropp and Conboy get what's coming their way. Maybe they'll get suspended a game or two, maybe more. Then again, it's pretty much a lost season for Michigan State anyway.

Well minimum they can get is three games if I understood it correctly. But damn....that is just ridiculous. If I was the commissioner, I'd say they are done for the rest of the season, AT LEAST. Sickening, for sure.

The first guy through is inexcusable.
The second guy's move with the stick is just repulsive.

MSU suspended both of them, apparently indefinitely.

Definitely the right call. That was absolutely unacceptable behavior.

pdt1081, why does that same "Scott Palauch" quote always come up in front of any message you post? You are obviously not Scott Palauch. I see you at every game at the south end of the arena in front of the zamboni room. Can't you get rid of this? Just curious.

It's a quote from a couple years ago that I, along with some others, thought was quite hilarious. Although, given the current situation, maybe I should change it...

Michigan State Suspends Conboy, Tropp for Rest of Season
By Mike Eidelbes
Michigan State coach Rick Comley on Monday announced the suspensions of forwards Andrew Conboy and Corey Tropp for the rest of the season, including the postseason, for their roles in an ugly incident involving Michigan defenseman Steve Kampfer late in the third period of the Wolverines’ 5-3 win over the Spartans at Yost Ice Arena Saturday.
“What happened near the end of the game this weekend is not the way in which we want our hockey program represented,” Comley said in a press release. “We cannot condone their actions. We felt that we had to send a strong message that this behavior will not be tolerated.”
The sequence of events started with less than a minute remaining in regulation when Kampfer leveled Tropp with what seemed to be a legal, open-ice check. Moments later, Conboy appeared to punch Kampfer in the back of the head as he skated away. Kampfer fell to the ice; Tropp then slashed him as he was down.
CCHA commissioner Tom Anastos supported the decision to suspend Conboy and Tropp, saying in a press release that the punishment handed down by MSU was in line with measures the league was considering.
The Spartans are 7-16-3 overall and 4-12-2 with two shootout wins in league play. They’re last in the 12-team CCHA, one point behind 11th-place Bowling Green.

Is it just me or is that statement just plain wrong. What is this world coming to? Imagine the news article of February 20th # 11 BGSU vs # 12 MSU
fighting it out for the basement of the league.

Commissioner Anastos is a Spartan alum as well.
