Welcome to the cellar

MSU picked up a point with a shoot out loss so we are now tied for last place. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

I have stayed away from the rink for the last few weeks and will probably not attend a game the rest of the year. Because of this I am in a much better mood on the weekends.

This program is turning into the laughing stock of college hockey.

It could be worse. We could be Alabama-Huntsville. They don't even have a conference anymore.

It'd be a shame to see BG finish in last place three of my four years here, but it's looking like it's going to become a reality. ](*,)

You could argue that two of the last three years have been two of the worst years in the history of the program. One year we finished with seven wins in 38 games. Seriously, 7 wins!? Record wise this year won't be as bad as some years. But when three players quit the team during the season, it says something about the direction of the program. Not to mention the fact that, with the exception of Jordan Samuels-Thomas, the recruits we have coming in for next year aren't exactly top notch. A couple of defensive D-men aren't going to improve the fact that we have zero scoring depth. We also don't have another goalie signed yet. :smt102

If Paluch isn't fired after this season I'll really start to believe that the administration wants the hockey program to fail. I've heard from a pretty credible source that they don't have the money to buy out his contract, whether that's true or not I don't know.

Sorry for all the negativity. I'm just so sick of seeing loss after loss, week after week.

I'm not a hockey guru. However, I did become a hockey fan by going to BG games when I attended back between '93-'97. I think that was the last time we were even worth talking about. Our program has been an after-thought for over 10 years. Pathetic. Time for ch..ch..ch..changes.

I've got a sneaky feeling that we're going to end up in Fairbanks for the playoffs.

We might as well not even make the trip, save us some cash and probably some embarassment in the process.
