Wow. I wasn't even born yet and I got chills and kind of wanted to cry a bit. That was amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah... you think someone running a cool site like BGSUSports.com would have that on their website. :-D

I have goosebumps and I was not even there. Amazing absolutely amazing. I'm just lost for words right now. I'd love to get the video/DVD of this game. Why is it not available?

I've wondered the same for awhile.

If it was possible, and the university REALLY wanted to make some money for the hockey program, they could probably sell copies of the game for $100+ and still have thousands of buyers.

It is available. The university has given it out as gifts to some who are close to the program :-D , but I don't believe that they can sell it due to licensing.

Joe Borenstein was interviewed on the radio at the (I believe)last home game this year. My son who was a good friend of Joe's called me to tell me about it and to listen. It was really interesting. Joe and another guy actually went there on their own and broadcast the game. And, yes, it still gives one goosebumps.

For any of you guys who may not have actually seen that goal. The pass Dan Kane made was just sick. I could not believe it in person that night in Lake Placid and every time I see it it just amazes me. The cut and pass he makes there and hits Gino right on the tape in perfect stride. Simply just magic. Dan was a smooth center with great hands......a great player that left too early mainly because he just wasn't that into studying from what I recall.

I had the game on a DVR that died and never had put it on any external media.....stupid, stupid. When I ran into Kruzer at a hockey camp last summer he said he would bring me DVD of it the next day, but he forgot and I have not run into him since.

Since I've only seen that game once...LIVE...I had forgotten that they had a shot that just missed prior to Danny's pass.

And AZIce is correct, from what I remember the pass was simply amazing. That night was simply amazing...I was only 7 years old, but I still remember every feeling we had that night and the next coming days...words cannot describe how together this community was.

GO FALCONS!
THANKS JIM AND GRANT!
