You wonder why the U has money problems. After a contentious week
about the hockey program the administration started to put together a trip
for the pep band and cheerleaders to go to OMAHA for the NIT for the mens
game. The cost was about 25K before they changed their mind. Who are these fools !!I guess if you're not the hockey program then money doesn't matter. Wow !! Make sure you all remember things like this when we push
forward for a "real" plan for hockey. STUNNING !!!!

What is truly stunning is the fact that everything seems to be a conspiracy with you, and I don't think anyone is paying attention...

Wow, the university didn't spend 25 thousand to send the band to Omaha. That sounds like pretty fine money management to me

I agree with murphdogg. Non issue. They looked into it, got a price tag and decided against it. Good move by all involved.

In fact, they went the extra mile by using connections and resources to put a pep band in there in their place. Wonder how duh Mavs sounded playing AZZ?

Agreed! How dare they consider spending money on something that is traditionally done, and then pulling the plug when they realize that they don't have the cash for it! Terrible financial management.

What bastards.

The real problem is the $53.72 (based on average hourly rate) that it took the AD staff to determine the trip would b too expensive. That money could have been put out there to save hockey.

MooneyRich would be even more upset if he knew the decision was made by Dr. Cartwright, Dr. Whipple, and AD Christopher as they were dining on buluga caviar and a bottle of Dom Perignon as they were flying on the university jet.

JEEEZZZ, All I was trying to say is that in tough times things like this

should not be considered until the finances are far better. It's all yours.

Good luck.

How can they not even consider it? Considering whether or not to do something does absolutely no harm to anyone or anything, regardless of how much money anyone has

I wondered why I saw a Toast Points delivery truck outside of McFall.

I heard they went with Kroger-brand caviar, in light of these tough times...

Do you realize how much of an uproar it would've caused had the university not even looked at the options? The way I see it (as well as many other people apparently) is that the university was responsible enough to look at the options and decided that it was too expensive to send the A-Band out to Nebraska. Now, if they decided to send the A-Band, I'd understand your complaint...otherwise it's just moot at this point...
