How's this for a first game? Al Montoya picked up his first win in his first ever NHL game last night. If that's not enough, he also picked up a shutout against the lowly Avs.

I always hated Montoya as a BG fan, but he's arguably one of the best CCHA goalies ever and will be a force in the League next year.

That's pretty crazy. I think Peter Mannino from Denver U. did the same thing this year in his first NHL game for the Islanders, except it was actually against the Red Wings I think.

Hopefully Montoya gets a crack at the starting job in Phoenix in the future. Although, right now he's technically not even the #1 in San Antonio.
