Zamboni Guy Laid Off?

Zamboni Guy Laid Off?

I heard today that the guy who drives the zamboni at the Ice Arena got laid off, but bumped someone and will be reassigned to groundskeeping. Can anyone confirm this?

They had said they were going to close the ice arena for May through July so laying off the zamboni driver makes sense. Sucks for him, though.

Not positive it was THE zamboni driver, but two maintenance guys (who usually drive the thing) were let go, but both had the opportunity to bump other people at the U for other jobs.

I know of at least one grounds guy in the athletic dept that is being ask to change from a 12 month to a 9 month contract.
