falcon fanatic, I couldn't agree more. What better way to support Falcon hockey than something most all of us can do? Attend games and buying tickets ahead! Even if you don't live close to town, I am sure you/BG can find ways to put the seat(s) to good use.

What would the program iook like with 4000 plus fans at every game? Not just the Michigan game- EVERY game. With all the interest and passion for BG hockey generated over the last few months, there can never be a better time for us to express support via tickets. I just seems as if- with all the efforts for and calls to support hockey- that we would fill the arena for game one right through Senior Night- regardless of record etc. I will be renewing my group and bringing friends.

No matter the record etc, this is the season to step up and buy a ticket. Or two.

Go Falcons!

I'm posting this over on the Facebook page.

What I'm most worried about is how those who aren't the diehards will respond to another season like last year and 2 years before that. If things start tanking soon we need to make a change even if it's mid-season. We're building a lot of excitement and we can't afford to lose that because of one guy.

BGDr- BG hockey is not one person. It is not one coach. It is not three players. It is not ten fans who are diehards. It is not four casual fans who are just getting involved. It is the "program"- when it is up or when it is down.

Look at Miami- they had some terrible seasons in the past playing in a building that was a one sided practice facility. They persevered, received significant support from fans and alums when they were NOT on top of the world- in fact when they were quite average at best- and now have really had some fine teams and seasons.

Not all of their "support" at several levels came after the new arena or as it was announced or as they started winning 25 games. It came well before that as fans and alums stepped forward. It was that step forward that helped Miami U as a school move the program forward.

So......buy tickets!! Join the Falcon Club for hockey!! Hopefully the numbers will be well ahead. Well well ahead of past years.

Go Falcons!

Listen..I'm not someone you have to preach to about this subject. However, you'd be a fool to think that if the team goes winless at home to start the season we'll still have a full house. To maximize the support of the team, you have to win. Give the AD a reason to keep the team past the warm and fuzzies.

Here's what might happen. We might lose a few games. Some by real close scores. We might lose a few by several goals against good teams. We might win a few games. Then we might lose a few games. Maybe we surprise a number of opponents.

But it would take a quite a turnaround- no matter whether the coach is Jacques LeMaire, Jack Parker or whomever- for us to finish in the top group. I hope it happens, but it will be a big challenge.

The program is not positioned for changes- any more of them- right now.

BG hockey fans- and new fans now in the fold- need to come to the games. They need to buy tickets, they need to be there. No, I don't mean that literally every game is a sell out if we lose a number of games- what I do mean is that the crowds should be there in large numbers. Why? Because of all the passionate fans I read about, hear from, speak to. They are passionate about Bg hockey- not just 20 or 25 win BG hockey. I like t shirts etc- that is all good. What I really hope for are ticket sales and Falcon Club/hockey support- at whatever level the interested and passionate fans care to participate at.

Go Falcons!

Today, Channel 11 had a short feature on Hockey Tickets that are now on sale. It talked about the fact that they are on sale much earlier than usual!

When I stopped by the ticket office on Wednesday to renew my football season tickets I asked about renewing my hockey season tickets and was told I could do that starting July 1. I need to go back over there.

When does BG's schedule come out? I've seen some schools already have theirs out, I think as soon as there's a schedule there will be a spike in season tickets!

Having dates, times as well as opponents sure would be helpful when making a decision. Not many people are going to blindly pay for season tickets, especially when living out of town.

They took my money online.

If you were a ticket purchaser from last year, you have a credit for the playoff tickets that you purchased last year.
