Wow!!! Pretty darn good hire for UNO. Meanwhile we have another year with Pooch as head coach
Man I hope we can get the program back on solid ground and hire a real DI coach to lead us back.

Huh. Interesting pick. Good pick, but an interesting one, none the less.
I wonder if this is a portent of UNO moving to the WCHA.

Heretofore, I had no idea who the Athletic Douchmonkey at UNO is.

I love this hire for UNO of corse I am a fan of Deaner for what he did with the Sioux. He is a all around good guy and will get UNO winning again. If only we went out and hired a coach that didn't go to our school and had success somewhere else as a head coach...

We tried that with Buddy Powers (120-71-15 at RIT and RPI).

danton Cole graduated from MSU, he fits your qualifications - but he will be back at MSU in a few years.
Todd Reirden went to BGSU but he has been away long enough, at enough other places for good cross polluntation.
Do you think that 3000 fans would pay and additional $ 1/ game to buy a top flight D-I coach??

I'd be willing to pay $5. more per game to see Paluch gone and to hire a real D-1 head coach. Forget the renovations to the ice arena for now. What we need first is a new head coach. Then start the fundraising.

If we forget the ice arena for now, we will lose the hockey program and you won't have to worry about who the coach is.

I do agree, the renovations need to happen. What I was trying to say earlier, get a new head coach to turn our hockey program around and that would put more fans in the seats. Then also more people will be more willing to support the program and the renovations.
