What I don't get is how come we play Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State home & away each series, but Ohio State is either home/home or road/road. That makes no sense. Columbus is just over 2 hours from BG, certainly not any farther than South Bend.MACMAN wrote:by setting up that way neither school has that added expense of hotels and meals. But I agree that it was better when it was a weekend home stand at each location.
We are cluster mates with Notre Dame, meaning we play them 4 times each year. Our cluster matchups THIS season are Michigan and Michigan State, which means we play them 4 times. We will play all other teams two times, rotating the home/aways series....except for UNO...which seems like we play AT Omaha about 3 times for every time they play here...bgsufalcon24 wrote:What I don't get is how come we play Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State home & away each series, but Ohio State is either home/home or road/road. Edit: I see they changed the ND series this year to home/home and away/away as well. Weird.
Well I knew that. In the past, we'd play them twice every year, but it'd be 1 at BG, 1 at ND in the same weekend twice yearly. Now they've changed it to 2 at BG one weekend and 2 at ND another. My freshman year, we played MSU, Mich, OSU, WMU, and ND all with home-and-home on the same weekend. Now it's just Mich and MSU.Falcon Fanatic wrote:We are cluster mates with Notre Dame, meaning we play them 4 times each year.
